It became Pitbull's most successful single from Globalization, reaching #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Time of Our Lives" also went to #1 on the US Rhythmic chart.
The music video was first released onto Pitbull's official Vevo channel on December 25, 2014. It was directed by Gil Green. On January 20, 2015 a behind the scenes video was also released on the channel. The video shows Pitbull and Ne-Yo saving up their spare money to save up for a New Year's Eve party in 1999.
