Kings Of Leon Ha Tenido Nueve Sencillos En El Top 40 De Gran Bretaña Incluyendo El Éxito Nº1 "Sex On Fire". El Nombre Del Grupo Deriva Del Padre Y Del Abuelo De Nathan Caleb Y Jared Llamados Leon. Jared Y Caleb Nacieron En Tennessee Mientras Que Nathan Y Matthew Son De Oklahoma. Los Hermanos Pasaban Gran Parte De Su Tiempo Viajando Por El Sur De Los Estados Unidos Con Su Padre Un Predicador Y Su Madre Que Les Enseñaba Cuando No Estaban En El Colegio. Cuando Sus Padres Se Divorciaron En 1997 Los Followill Se Mudaron Con Su Madre Betty-Ann A Nashville. Durante Su Estancia Allí Conocieron Al Compositor Angelo Petraglia Quien Ayudaría A Los Hermanos En Sus Habilidades Compositivas Y Les Introdujo En La Música De Los Rolling Stones The Clash Y The Velvet Underground. Seis Meses Más Tarde Nathan Y Caleb Firmaron Con RCA Records Que Pidió Que Los Hermanos Encontrasen Miembros Adicionales Para La Banda De Este Modo La Banda Fue Completada Su Hermano Pequeño Jared Y Su Primo Matthew. El 18 De Febrero De 2003 Sale A La Venta El EP "Holy Roller Novocaine" Que Preludiaría El Éxito De Su Álbum De Debut "Youth And Young Manhood" Julio En GB Y Agosto En EEUU De Ese Mismo Año Especialmente Fuera De Los Estados Unidos Por Ser Escogidos Por Bandas De Rock Famosas Como The Strokes Y U2 Para Acompañarles Como Teloneros En Sus Giras. Algunas De Las Canciones Incluidas Son Molly's Chambers Y California Waiting. Su Segundo Álbum Aha Shake Heartbreak Fue Lanzado El 22 De Febrero De 2005 En Los Estados Unidos.
