After Having Played 5 Years With Dutch Band Mc Phonic And A Few Years With German Band Headcleaner René Schuijlenburg Monki Took A Long Break. He Produced A Few Cd's And Organised A Couple Of Festivals In Germany And The Netherlands But He Didn't Record Any New Tracks And Also Didn't Play A Single Show For More Than 15 Years. By The End Of 2008 René Started To Write New Songs For A Solo Project. He Wanted To Try Something New Away From The Things He Did In The Past. As A First Result He Released A 4 Track Ep On November 25 2010. Apart From The Single Memories He Released 3 More Tracks On The Memories Ep Powers That Be Four Words And A Rare Bonus Track Titled Papa. In February 2011 Monki Will Release His Album Essential. read less
