The Musical Group Roc´hann Read “rochan” – A Breton Phrase Meaning “small Clint” Was Formed In The Spring Of 2004 As The Result Of Desires Held By Two Young French People Who Had Already Been Living In Bratislava For A Number Of Years. Their Aim Was Clear – To Enable You To Get To Know And Take A Fancy To Breton Singing And Dance Via Means Of Music. This French Region Emblazoned With Legends From The Wild Celtic Ages – Intoxicates You With Its Widespread Ocean Wild Bays Deep Forests And Proud Bretons Renowned For Their Language And Rich Culture. Merry And Mournful Maritime Tunes And Well Known Traditional Breton Dance Songs As Interpreted By Frédéric And Didier Are Further Enhanced By French Vocalist Carine And Four Young Slovak Musicians Mišo Meďo Tošo And Andrea Who Each Have Experience With Various Musical Genres Such As Ethnic Classical Music Jazz Pop Funk Rock E.T.C. Roc´hann Not Only Reiterate Their Multi-Culturalness In Terms Of Their Line-Up But Also In Terms Of The Arrangements Of Their Songs Rooted In The Folklore Of Other European Countries. Their Debut Concert Took Place To Mark The Occasion Of Slovakia’s European Union Ascension And Ever Since The Group Has Performed At Numerous Benefit Concerts And Company Events Clubs And Festivals.
