UnderThreat Are A Melodic Death Metal Band Hailing From Bogotá Colombia South America. The Band Was Formed In 1997 By Nicolas Bermudez Guitars David Bermudez Bass Alejandro Rojas Drums And John Perez Vocals Originally Under The Name Of "Skulptor". In The Middle Of 1999 And After Several Conceptual Changes The Name Was Changed To UnderThreat. The Band Entered The Studio To Record Their First Album Release. "Hipostasis" Was Released At The End Of 1999 On Transilvania Music An Independent Colombian Record Label This First Release Was Extremely Well Received In The Colombian And South American Metal Scene. Upon The Release Of Hipostasis Carlos Venegas Joined UnderThreat And The Band Played Numerous Shows Around Colombia Gaining A Great Following. In 2001 The Band Moved To The US Except For Carlos Who Decided To Stay In Colombia For Personal Reasons. In December Of The Same Year UnderThreat Entered "Studio One" In Racine Wisconsin And Recorded "Behind Mankind's Disguise" Their First Album Under An American Label Conquest Music During 2002 UnderThreat Toured With Monstrosity Dark Faith And Blood Stained Dusk And They Also Played At The 2002 Milwaukee Metal Festival. When The Second Album Was Released In March 2003 Erick Leider From Wisconsin Joined As The Second Guitarist. The Band Then Participated In Several Compilations Along Side The Likes Of Satyricon Angel Corpse Impaled Nazarene Exhumed And Jag Panzer And Played Shows With Bands Such As Destruction Divine Empire Fleshgrind Anal Blast Kataklysm Suffocation Strapping Young Lad Among Others. They Performed At The Las Vegas Metal Festival And Also The Milwaukee Metal Festival Again. In Early 2004 The Band Decided To Part Ways With Erick And During Summer Of That Year Entered "Studio One" Again In Racine To Record Their Third Album Entitled "Deathmosphere". By October Of 2004 UnderThreat Headlined Their Hometown's Annual Festival "Rock Al Parque" Again With Guitarist Carlos Venegas On Second Guitar Which Turned Out To Be His Last Performance With The Band Ever. A Video Track From This Gig For The Song "Embraced By Disaster" Was Recorded To Be Included As An Extra Feature For The Upcoming Album Deathmosphere. In 2005 Jake Sommer From Milwaukee Joined As The Second Guitarist Followed By A Series Of Gigs And Festivals Throughout The North American Midwest Prior To The Release Of The New Album. In January 2006 Barbarian Records From Madison WI Finally Released "Deathmosphere" In The U.S. While Hateworks From Colombia Did For South America And Europe In August. This Was Followed By A Series Of Gigs Again Around The U.S.A. Midwest Area To Promote The New Album. In November Of That Year The Band Performed Their Last Two Concerts In Colombia Cali And Bogota To The Date. In Early 2007 The Band Decided To Take A Break And Follow Different Projects And Opportunities In Different Parts Of The World. Alejandro John And Jake Have Been Working Separetly In Different Bands In Colombia And The US Leishmaniasis Soulburner La Nariz Del Diablo Karneia Psychotic Humanoid With The Exception Of "Fallen Divinity" Which John And Jake Played Together. David And Nicolas Bermudez Relocated To The United Kingdom To Join The Blaze Bayley Band With Ex Iron Maiden Singer Blaze Bayley Until March Of 2011. In Late March 2011 It Was Announced That Blaze And His Management Had Ejected All Other Members From His Band Leaving The Bermudez Brothers To Reform UnderThreat In Early April. Guitarist Jake Sommer And Singer John Perez Both Left The Band After The Reformation In May And July Respectively. The Band Is Currently Working On Unfinished Material From 2006 As Well As New Material Due To Be Released 2012. The Band Are Also Re-Releasing The Albums "Deathmosphere" And "Behind Mankind's Disguise" As One Sleeve Box Set In June 2011 Through Hateworks Www.Hateworks.Net Http //www.Under-Threat.Com
