Matthew Perryman Jones Born 1973 Is An American Singer-Songwriter Who Currently Lives In Nashville Tennessee. Jones Began His Career As A Singer-Songwriter In 1997 Playing His First Public Performances At Eddie's Attic In Decatur GA. 1 In 2000 Jones Issued His First Solo Release Nowhere Else But Here After Moving To Nashville TN To Pursue Music Full-Time. In 2006 He Released The Album Throwing Punches In The Dark. This Album Produced By Neilson Hubbard Glen Phillips Garrison Starr Was A Departure From His Previous Folk/Americana Sound To Something More Pop Rock. Throwing Punches In The Dark Has Been Well Received By Critics And Fans Alike. In 2007 Matthew Was Asked To Perform At The Historic Alabama Theatre In Birmingham AL For The 10 Year Celebration Of The Syndicated Radio Program Reg's Coffee House. Matthew Shared The Stage With Stoll Vaughan Jim James My Morning Jacket And Patty Griffin. At This Show Matthew First Performed His Song Save You Which After Recording Would Launch Matthew Onto The National Scene With A High Profile Placement In The Season Finale Of Kyle XY. In 2008 Matthew Has Teamed Up Again With Producer Neilson Hubbard To Produce A New LP Entitled Swallow The Sea Which Was Named After One Of The Songs Included On The Album. Released August 19 2008 2 This Album That Included The Single Save You Gained Traction In Television And Saw A Growing Number Of Placements In Popular Television Shows In 2008 And 2009. In 2010 Matthew Released Two EPs. One Official Release The Distance In Between And Another Unofficial Digital Release Crash Boom Bang Which Was Released Exclusively Through Noistrade. Crash Boom Bang Was A Collection Of Songs Either That Didn't Make The Cut On Swallow The Sea Or Weren't Finished Enough To Be Included. Matthew Is Currently Touring In Support Of The Distance In Between.
