Like Moths To Flames Is A Five Piece Metalcore Band From Dayton Ohio United States That Formed In 2010. The Band Started When Vocalist Chris Roetter Former Frontman Of Agraceful Had Many Issues Concerning Members Dropping Out. Like Moths To Flames Was Formed With Four Previous Members Of Terrafirma. They Have Five EPs And Five Full-Length Albums The Most Recent Being No Eternity In Gold Which Was Released 30 October 2020 Through UNFD. On October 17 2010 It Was Announced That Like Moths To Flames Had Been Signed To Rise Records And Were Already Working On Their First EP. Two Months Later The Band Released Their EP Titled Sweet Talker On December 14 2010. To Help Support Their New Music The Band Set Out With Fellow Acts Texas In July And A Hero A Fake On The "A Metal Christmas" Tour Through Late 2010. Sometime Before Their EP Was Released Drummer Jordan Matz Left Like Moths To Flames And Was Replaced By Lance Greenfield. With Continuous Touring Through 2011 The Band Decided To Settle Back Down And Head Into The Studio To Record Their First Full-Length Studio Album. Right Before The Band Headed To The Studio Bassist Aaron Douglas Parted Ways With The Band. The Band Had Eli Ford Formerly Of My Ticket Home Join On Guitar And Aaron Evans Moved To Bass. When We Don't Exist Was Released On November 8 Through Rise Records. In January 2012 The Band Headed Out On The S.I.N. Tour With Acts D.R.U.G.S. Hit The Lights And Sparks The Rescue To Support The Album. Soon After They Toured With Bands Texas In July And Hundredth. The Band Then Spent The First Half Of 2013 Headlining The Rise Records Tour Around The US With Supporting Acts Crown The Empire The Color Morale Palisades And My Ticket Home. The Band Have Confirmed They Will Record Their Second Full Length Album With Will Putney At The Machine Shop In Hoboken New Jersey And Shall Be Released In The Summer Of 2013. On May 29 2013 The Band Confirmed The New Album Would Be Called An Eye For An Eye Slated For A July 9th 2013 Release. They Toured With The Vans Warped Tour Over The Summer Of 2013 On The Monster Energy Stage. Shortly After The All Stars Tour 2014 Guitarist Zach Huston Decided To Part Ways With The Band Citing That He Wants To Pursue Other Interests. It Wasn't Until Late In 2015 That He Was Replaced By Guitarist Jeremy Smith Formerly Of City Lights. On April 6 2015 The Band Released Two Standalone Singles The Dream Is Dead And Bury Your Pain The Latter Of The Two Being The Band's Most Popular Song. The Band's Third Album The Dying Things We Wish For Was Released On October 23 2015. The Album Wasn't Very Popular As The Band Moved Towards A More "djent" Sound. The Band Themselves Have Stated That They Don't Like The Album And They Seldom Play Any Songs From The Album Live. The Band's Fourth And Last Album To Be Released On Rise Records Was Dark Divine. This Album Was Much Softer Than The Others But Did See A Return To Their Older Sound Rather Than Moving Forward With The "djent" Sound Of Their Last Album. They Released An EP Titled Dark Divine Reimagined Which Was A Collection Of Acoustic Covers From The Album. The Band Would Then Part Ways With Rise Records In May 2019 Along With Confirming That They've Already Worked On New Songs. The Band Signed To UNFD In September 2019. No Eternity In Gold Released On October 30 2020 Was The Band's Fifth Album And First To Be Released On UNFD. This Release Was Heavier Than Their Last Album Returning To The Band's Original Sound While Still Having Some Softer Moments. On October 6 2021 The Band Released A Single Titled The Preservation Of Hate Along With Teasing An EP Scheduled To Release On November 9 2021. The Single Was Far Heavier Than Anything The Band Has Released Prior Almost Leaning Towards A Deathcore Sound While The Rest Of The Songs Were More Traditional Metalcore. On January 25 2023 The Band Fired Founding Member Aaron Evans Due To The History Of Alleged Abuses With Text Messages Ranging From Multiple Secret Relationships To Manipulation And Gaslighting. The Band Then Released A New Single Titled Predestination Paradox On March 30 2023.
