Cheo Quiñonez Was Born Juan Jose Quiñonez On August 29 1950 In The Town Of San Germán In Puerto Rico His Family Were Musicians He Started As A Trumpet Player At The Age Of 13 Played With Groups From His Town Then Joined The Orchestra Of Justo Betancourt Roberto Roena And His Apollo Sound And Junior Toledo.
When He Was 18 Years Old Was With Rafael Cortijo And Ismael Rivera. He Entered The Top Hits Label Known As TH Between 1980 And 1981 Made Choirs Thats When Canayón Happened He Also Did Folklore Record With Cano Robles And Louie García.
