Frontman Michael Hobby 23 And Lead Guitarist Bill Satcher 22 The Co-Founders And Creative Conspirators Of A Thousand Horses Have Been Crafting Rock Music Infused With Traditional American Flavors Of The Southeastern US For Over Half A Decade. A Thousand Horses Blends Blues R And B And Good Old Slashing Guitars Bass & Drums In An Elixir That Comes Out Tasting Of Small Faces And “Exile”-Era Rolling Stones. The Two Became Good Friends After Meeting In A Local Music Store Back In 2003 In Their Hometown Of Newberry SC. With A Mutual Admiration For Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers And A Slew Of Other Classic Rock Records It Wasn't Before Long The First Semblance Of What Is Now A Thousand Horses Started Taking Shape. Having Cut Their Teeth In The Southern Rock Club Circuit Michael And Bill Never Let An Empty Room Slow Them Down. This Is A Band Founded Upon The Collective Love Of The Creative Process. "Mission Statements Are For High Schools And Politicians - We're A Rock N Roll Band" Explained Michael When Asked About His Goals For A Thousand Horses. With The August 17 2010 Release Of Their Debut Self-Titled EP On DGC/Interscope/Van Howes Records A Thousand Horses Are Positioned At The Starting Gate For A Busy Second Half Of 2010 And Beyond.
