Artist Biography For Joane
Joane is a blues oriented rockband founded in the south of Berlin. The first incarnation of the band existed of Martin Orfali, Marc Gundermann, Robert Ladenthin and the first guitarist Dennis Hermann. The band was heavily influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, MC5 and Nirvana. The first recorded experience was what became the "Rehearsal Tape" which made the round in the east side of Berlin and after a little while, lots of people came into their rehearsal room, to see them live. Because of personal problems, Dennis Hermann quit the band and Yusuf Sahilli was the new guitar player and he joined the band.

The guitarist [Florian Lohoff] was found very quickly, so they could carry on very fast. They turned the guitars louder and they wrote more songs based on jams. Because of Florians and Marc backgrounds they jammed a lot on stage, like in the early 70s, unlikely the previous line-up, which was influenced by the 60s. But after a while, the band quit, Florian, a guitarist for the third and last time.
In January 2007 the band recorded a lot of acoustic material on tape and searched for a rehearsal room. This process took time until April. Up to that point, 60 minutes of material was written and ready to perform. After a while, the band became louder and heavier and the band had tons of fun to play hard rock music.
